Margaret Ann Adney, 87, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012.
Margaret was born April 30, 1924, in Yell County to James Autry George and Ivory Irene Hatfield George. During WWII, Margaret worked at the Jacksonville Ammunition Plant where she delivered highly explosive powders to a padded room. Margaret moved to Kansas City, Mo., to work in a bomber modification plant and soon became a real-life "Rosie the Riveter" working as a riveter at the bomber plant. After the war until her death, Margaret was a housewife and member of the Church of Christ. Most of all, she loved her husband and family and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Arthur Adney; and her two sisters, Etta Miller (Tom Ed) and Jane Ellen Rogers (Dave).
