Edith Maurice Ferrell Wilson, 83, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, died on Saturday, May 5, 2012.

A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, she was a former employee of Peerless Woolen Mills and Standard Coosa Thatcher and was member of East Ridge Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Junior Wilson, son, Johnny Jackson Ferrell, father and stepmother, John and Daisy Ferrell, mother, Valley Marie Davis and sister, Jerry Ann Brown.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Connie Wilson of Fort Oglethorpe, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Leila and Bill Hunt of Rossville, Linda Grant of Rossville, and Frances and Al Harmon of Lamirada, Ca., two grandchildren, Danielle Chambers (Chris) of Harrison, and Jeff Wilson of Ringgold, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Charles Knight and Reverend Dennis Kerley officiating.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 2-9 p.m., and Tuesday until funeral time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
