Fred Gardner, 71, died Monday at Humphrey's Hospital at Tuscumbia.
He was born June 30, 1892, at Miller County near Iberia, son of John and Mary Gardner, and married Miss Emma Doubiken at Iberia on Dec. 23, 1914.
A retired farmer and member of the Iberia First Christian Church, he was church treasurer for many years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond Gardner; a brother, Monroe Gardner; all of Iberia; and a sister, Mrs. Maude Shockley, Steelville.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm today at an Iberia funeral chapel with the Rev. Harlie Goodwin officiating. Burial will be at the Iberia Cemetery.
