OBITUARY:
Wells W. Beebe, age 92, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at his home. He was born January 7, 1917 in Rome Center to Charles & Mable (Wells) Beebe. He was married April 20, 1941 in Adrian to Donna Baragar and she survives.
Wells was a 1935 graduate of Adrian High School and was the former owner of Hillsdale Cartage Company. He was a member of College Baptist Church and the Sons of the American Revolution. He was an avid deer hunter and ice fisherman.
Surviving besides his wife, Donna are a son, Bill Beebe of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Sharon (John) Flowers of Crystal Falls, MI; two brothers, Weldon (Alice) Beebe and Donald (Evelyn) Beebe both of Adrian; and a grandson, Jake Flowers of Seward, Alaska.
Wells was preceded in death by his parents, twin daughters, Katherine and Shirley, and a brother Wayne.
Funeral services for Wells W. Beebe will be Monday, February 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Jason Mekelburg officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5 p.m., at the funeral home.
