Lillian A. Hardtke, 95, formerly of Lewiston, Minn., passed away Thursday, August 24, 2000 at the Sauer Memorial Home in Winona where she had been a resident for 8-1/2 years.

She was born on April 12, 1905, to Emil and Amelia (Johnson) Antonson in Greenwood Township, northern Minnesota. She was confirmed at Rushford Lutheran Church in 1920. She married Clement T. Hardtke on January 25, 1928 in Winona. They lived in Bethany and Lewiston, Minn. After her husband's death on October 3, 1974, she moved to Winona.

She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Winona. A homemaker most of her life, she will always be remembered for her homemade buns and white sugar cookies.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, infant daughter, four brothers and one sister.

There will be a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 28, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Lewiston Chapel. Burial will be in the Bethany Moravian Cemetery in rural Lewiston. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
