Six Sons to Serve as Pallbearers at Funeral Services Today

Mrs. Mary Celeste Babin, 82 years old, wife of Joseph D. Babin, retired planter of Lafourche parish, died Sunday afternoon at her residence, 537 South Dupre street, after an illness of one year.
Her six sons, who will act as pallbearers at the funeral services today at 4 p.m. at the funeral home of F. Laudumley & Company, Ltd., 1225 North Rampart street, are David, Thaddeus, James, Julius, Guy and Allen Babin. Julius Babin is president of the Laplace Lumber Company.
Following religious rites at Sacred Heart Church, Canal and North Lapex streets, interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Also surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. E. H. Payne, Sr., Mrs. James McDonald and Mrs. C. J. Gonzales; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A native of Lockport, Mrs. Babin had been a resident of New Orleans for the past 20 years. She was the daughter of Daniel H. Field and Clementine Guidroz."
