Graveside services for Opal Lee Murphy, 77, of New Summerfield, will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at the McDonald Cemetery in New Summerfield, with the Rev. Donny Sadler officiating, under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home of Jacksonville.

Burial will be at the McDonald Cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 5, 1928, in Concord. She was a life-long resident of the New Summerfield area. She was formerly employed at Powell's Plant Farm, and she was a member of Nazarene Faith Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Hall.

Survivors include her husband; two sons and daughters-in-law; one daughter and son-in-law; two brothers and sisters-in-law; one sister and brother-in-law; and eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Honorary pallbearers are nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006 at the funeral home.
