FLOYD E. HOOD, 62, of Memphis, retired employee of Alcoa Gravure, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital South. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church in Horn Lake. He leaves his wife, Sue Hood; three sons, Larry Hood of Covington and Eddie Hood and Jeffery Hood, both of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Freda Causey and Ruby Clark, both of Pontotoc, Miss.; three brothers, M. J. Hood of Horn Lake, and Billy Joe Hood and James Hood, both of Tyronza, Ark., and seven grandchildren

Ellis severed in World War II in Europe and entered the war at the Battle of the Bulge. He was under General Patton in the Third Army, Sixth Armored Division out of Fort Miles Standis, Mass. He drove Half Tracks and was on Mortar crews.
