IN KIND REMEMBRANCE
William Louis Hunter was born in the state of Georgia, August 10, 1856, died February 7, 1923, age 66 years five months and 28 days. The remains were laid to rest in the Merritt cemetery southwest of the city, the services being conducted by Rev. Hamilton.
The deceased lived in his native state, until a young man when he moved to Yell county, Ark., where he was married to Lucinda Sullivan in 1877. She lived ten years, leaving six living children. He was later married to Mrs. Florence Gray, who now survives him.
The deceased is survived by a wife, eleven children, thrirty{sic]-three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of friends. Three of the children are single, living with their mother in this city, namely DeWitt, age 14 years; Raymody, age 11 years; and Cornelia, age 18 years; and a daughter, Miss Laura Hunter, who makes her home in Sallisaw, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Ada White, of near Doxey, Okla.; a son, Walter M. Hunter, of near Elk City; a daughter, Mrs. Mattie Walker, of this city; two sons, Marion D. and Daily Hunter, of Alexandria and Corley, Ark., and a daughter, Mrs. Effie Rutherford, of De Valls Bluff, Ark., and a daughter, Mrs. Amelia Hunter, Crossno of this city.
The deceased moved with his family to this city from Corley, Ark., October 12, 1922, where he has since lived until his death.
