Lawrenceville --- Mrs. Rosana Bliss died at the home of her daughter, Mrs John Woodcock at Lindley, NY, Saturday March 12. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs Woodcock, Mrs Simon Albee of Lockport, NY, Mrs Charles VanZile of Lawrence Township, Tioga Co., PA, Mrs Henry McIntyre of Geneseo, NY and four sons, Almond, Claude and Harry Bliss of Freeman, NY and David Bliss of Lawrenceville, and several grandchildren. The funeral was held on Tuesday in Lindley and the burial was in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.

Eight of the 11 children and 10 of the 44 grandchildren are buried near the BLISS Family Plot or near by in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.

There continues to be some confusion on her husband's middle name. It has been reported as Olonzo and Alonzo. However, most records simply have an O for middle name of Henry. Hand written family records have his name as Henry O, as well. His Civil War military records state middle name as Orlando and this seems to be his name of choice. It is confusing that her obit states Henry O but her gravestone says Alonzo. His gravestone states Henry O Bliss.
