The funeral for Verna Irene Hemphill. 84. of 2248 Spring Street., Medford, who died Thursday, will be at 1:30PM Monday in Conger-Morris Downtown Chapel. Commital will follow in Hillcrest memorial Park. The Reb. David Campbell, Ashland, will officiate with Conger-Morris Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hemphill was born August 9, 1892 in Jasper, Oregon. On July 11, 1952, in Eugene, she married Glen Hall Hemphill, who survives [Died in 1985 and is buried next to her] had lived in the Rogue Valley since 1958 and was a homemaker.
Survivors besides her husband Glen, include two stepsons, Glenn C. Hemphill, San Diego, California, Emory F Hemphill [Died Oct 12, 1994), Cucamonga, California; two step daughters, Mrs Delores Peterson and Doreen Smith (Died March 3rd, 2012) both of Medford; One sister, Mrs Hazel Norris (Died April 27th, 2004) Vida, Oregon; three grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
Active pallbearers will include Addison Keplinger, Melvin Peterson, Jack Poole, Fred Hoffer, Gay Hallett, and Mike Norris.
Those who wish may pay their respects until 8:30 o'clock tonight in the Conger Morris Downtown Chapel.
