Alana was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1. She was hospitalized for many weeks at Children's Mercy in KC, MO and then sent to St Louis Children's Hospital for a few weeks. She came back to Kansas City and passed away at Children's Mercy. She is the daughter of William David and Michelle Senne Bodenhamer. Alana was survived by her parents, her brother Darin Mithaniel, her maternal grandparents Anne M Grant and William C Bodenhamer, paternal grandmother Kathy Chapman, and maternal great grandparents Bert and Patty Thomas.
