Edwin Earl Daughtrey, Rt.#6, Paris, died Monday, 15 Feb 1988, at his home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, 17 Feb, at the Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Michael Howard and Joe Blackshear officiating. Burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery in Powderly.

Mr. Daughtrey was born on 15 Nov 1919, a son of Clay Daughtrey and the former Theo Roberts. He was a farmer in this area all of his life. He married Edna Jean Carter on 30 Oct 1939. She died on 18 Mar 1947. He later married Vera Lee Dancer on 1 Jul 1950. He then married Florence Smyers on 3 Apr 1982. He was a member of the Bounds Baptist Church and served in the US ARMY during WORLD WAR II.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Orie J. Daughtrey and James Wesley Daughtrey.

Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Jean McEntyre, Gloria Jane Self, Mary Annette Daughtrey and Rebecca Annette 'Becky' Daughtrey, all of Paris; one son, David Earl Daughtrey of Sumner; two brothers, Glenn Daughtrey of Powderly and Elvis Daughtrey of Paris; four sisters, Margarette King of Memphis, TN, Jeannie Lynch of Powderly, Faye Rook of Powderly and Fannie Belle Shepard of Tyler; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
