m. Ariel Nims June 14,1773 at Sudbury, Mass. - see more info below

Ariel & Anna Nims were the parents of nine children , seven living to adulthood.
Children [from her husband's memorial]:
James Nims, b. February 24, 1779, m. Lucy Boyden
Mary, b. February 24, 1779
Joel Nims, b. January 30, 1781, m. Sallie Boyden
Anna Nims, b. May 6, 1783, m. Luther Bartlett
Asaph Nims, b. January 9, 1784
John Nims, b. September 29, 1789, m. Phila McKee
Horace Nims, b. about 1789

This gravestone was in pieces in 1980 when it was transcribed as:
Anna
wife of ---- Nims
died Oct 17 1828
AE 75
The stone is gone in May 2012.
Although the gravestone is lost, it is probable and logical that this is the wife of Ariel Nims based on her burial location with James, son of Ariel. Her death year of 1828 matches up with the Nims' genealogy. Her place of death, according to some reports, is said to be Rodman, N.Y., the same as her husband's, but this location in Mill River Cemetery, Deerfield Mass. is certainly possible given the stone was found in 1980 in the same plot of son James and other reports say she died in Deerfield and some say in Conway.
Additional evidence that this is burial of Ariel's wife comes from PhotoGrapherInTheWoods FAG 47347066:
ANNA BREWER was born in 1753 at Sudbury, MA [Sheldon, Hist of Deerfield, Vol II, p 254], and died on October 17, 1828 at Conway, MA [Seward, J.L. "Hist of Sullivan" Keene, NH p 1253] She also sites The "Nims Family: Seven Generations of Descendants From Godfrey Nims", Edited by Elizabeth C. Suddaby, 1990. p 534
FAG contributor Little Macomber 47283732, the holder of Ariel's memorial, has a theory that deserves consideration as well: there is also a town of Deerfield in Oswego County, N.Y. which is very close to Rodman. It is a possiblilty that the reports of Anna (Brewer) Nims death in "Deerfield" may mean the town in N.Y. Preserving a body after death in 1828, would have been quite a feat to do...it would have been a two week journey to bring Anna to Mass. from N.Y. or vice versa in good weather, according to many recordings as to how long travel distance was between the two sites. Many of the Rodman N.Y. cemeteries are only accessable on horseback and have never been seen; Anna could indeed be in N.Y. A published obituary or death notice might solve the mystery; or perhaps a transcription of Mill River prior to 1980 might provide the name of Anna's husband; or a look at the original church records; or a death notice or obit...
For now she is presumed Mrs Ariel Nims...
