Luther Weeks was raised by his mother, Delilah and his grandparents, Noah and Betsey Weeks. His father was Nathaniel Ray, an older man with a family of his own, who is also buried in Dial Church of Christ Cemetery.
Luther married Selina Garland, daughter of Joseph Tally Garland and Ruth Shields. They raised their family in Gilmer County, Georgia.
