Mrs. Flad was born June 16, 1939, in Kings Mountain, NC, and moved to Leesburg in 2009 from St. Petersburg.
Before retiring, she was the co-owner of Jomar Specialties in St. Petersburg.
She was of the Baptist faith and loved to sew.
Survivors include her husband, Joe; sons Joseph P. Flad III and Thomas Flad, both of St. Petersburg; daughter, Laura Richards, Weaverville, NC; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Flad's visitation will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, with services following in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leesburg.
