Born May 12, 1929, at Beattie, TX in Comanche County, Runez was a daughter of the late Ples and Pearl (Auvenshine) Solomon. She married John "Butch" Hill October 7, 1947 in Anson, TX. Runez was a homemaker and a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Rule, TX.
Runez was preceded in death by her husband, John Hill who passed away September 14, 1988, grandson Travis Hill, brothers Berl and Donnie Solomon, and sisters Opal Stryker, Rose (Coker) Flippo and Dean Bush.
Survivors include three daughters, June Howard of Lubbock, TX, Virginia Faye Hill-Nunez of Norman, OK, Patricia "Trish" Rhea of San Antonio, TX, and two sons, John Hill of Colorado City, TX, and Bobby Hill of Big Spring, TX; three brothers, Bunk, Gaylon, and Rex Solomon and one sister, Bonnie Bishop; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
