Clark Gleave

Aurora, Utah

Clark Stanley Gleave, 68 of Aurora and McGill, NV, passed away May 1, 2012 in Salt Lake City from complications of surgery. He was born July 10, 1943 in Richfield to Vernile and Madeline Barney Gleave.

He married Rosalie Taylor, October 6, 1961 in McGill, Nevada. The marriage was solemnized October 26, 2002 in the Manti Temple. She preceded him death August 4, 2001.

Clark married Joan Nielson Shaw April 20, 2002 in Aurora.

Clark moved to McGill when he was a small child and lived there 59 years. He had an absolutely wonderful childhood and had many delightful stories about all the fun and escapades he had as a child. He had many talents and could fix anything or make it run. His Harley was his pride and joy; he loved to ride. He loved to play pool over at the Community Center with all his pool buddies.

Clark loved serving the Lord. He was currently serving as High Priest Group Secretary and enjoyed spending many hours at the Family History Center working on genealogy and helping others with their research. He enjoyed being a volunteer at the North Sevier Senior Citizen Center and coordinating the Friday night dances.

Clark was a field repairman for 20 years at Kennecott in McGill, Nevada. He then worked for the Division of Forestry until he retired.

He was the best father, husband and son. He cherished the time spent with family and was very proud of each and every one of them. Clark loved the simple things. He didn't need fancy stuff to be happy. He was a good man and was always a gentleman.

He is survived by his wife Joan of Aurora; mother, Madeline, McGill; children: Steven (Cheryl) Gleave, Lodi, CA; Debbie Griffin and Kelly Gleave, both of McGill, NV; daughter-in-law, Jamie Gleave, Bonner Ferry, Idaho; step-children: Jewelyn (Ed) Jensen, Mark (Pam) Shaw, and Lisa (Jeff) McArthur, all of Phoenix, AZ; Valerie Shaw, Sandy; Brett (M'Shelle) Shaw, Salina; Janet (Richard) Barton, Aurora; 37 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren; siblings, Russell (Debbie) Gleave, Neil Gleave, McGill, NV; Diana (Paul) Terry, Mesquite, NV; and Barbara (Richard) Garcia, Elko, Nevada; brothers-in-law: Dave (Sally) Nielson, Phoenix; Steve (Paula) Nielson, Boise, ID.
