Fannie Wheeler is the daughter of John and Bettie (Emerson) Wheeler. She married George Bush Ellis Jan. 6, 1831 in Barren co., Ky. They had at least nine children.

According to the 1880 U.S. Census for the City of Glasgow, Barren county, Kentucky, Fannie (Wheeler) Ellis was a 65-year-old widow living with her son George, and grandson, Robert Alcock and granddaughter, Lelia (Bybee) Alcock. Also living in the home was one black female servant, age 21.
