Martha Jane married Milton Samuel Graves on May 1, 1862 in Marion County, Missouri. Their children were Charles, James, Emily, Nettie, Eva, Susannah and Lorine M. Graves.

Martha Jane died of influenza on May 29, 1923 in Spaulding, Missouri and is laid to rest in the Bear Creek Cemetery in Ralls County, Missouri.
