Funeral services for Michael Louis "Mike" Saunders, 32, of Mansfield, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30 in the Central Baptist Church of Mansfield, with interment following in Mansfield Cemetery. Rev. Samuel A. Rowlett, Jr., pastor of the church officiated. Blessing Funeral Home of Mansfield is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Foy Beasley, Anthony Durrett, Donald Ray Griffin, Raymond Napier, Curtis Overstreet and Larry Thrash.

Mr. Saunders died at his home, Thursday morning, Jan. 28. He was involved in an automobile accident in 1986.

Mr. Saunders was born Nov. 29, 1959, in Mansfield, the son of Albert Henry and Virginia Doris Chasteen Saunders. He was a chef, a member of Central Baptist Church, and served in the Navy from 1977 to 1980.

Survivors include his mother, Doris Saunders of Mansfield; three brothers, Melvin Ray Saunders of Kennedale, Henry Bradford Saunders of Watauga; and Lloyd Olen Saunders of Henrietta, Oklahoma; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Melvin Chasteen of Mansfield.
