Earl M. Cartwright, 83, Xenia, passed away Sunday morning, June 29, 2003, at Greene Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 29, 1920, in Ross County, Ohio, the son of Carey and Anna Lansing Cartwright. He retired from R.C. Rice Plumbing. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #162, Dayton.
He is survived by his wife, Garnett (Davis) Cartwright, whom he married Aug. 30, 1947; three foster children, Dianna Neanover, Corinna Tackett, Lauren Davis; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Floyd Cartwright, Everett Cartwright, Albert Cartwright, Clarence Cartwright, Dewey Cartwright, and John Cecil Cartwright; and three sisters, Alice Hammond, Mary Tolle, and Martha Woolums.
