Funeral services for RH "Tim" Compton 79, will be 2PM Saturday May 5,2012 at the Pioneer Assembly of God near Pioneer,La. with Rev.Danny Trichell and Vicky McAnally officiating. Interment will be in Reeks Cemetery near Oak Grove,La. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove,Louisiana.in 1951 Tim married his brother Clarence's wife Lucille's sister Cherry 2 brothers married to sisters both couples remained together until their deaths [Clarence and Lucille both are deceaced now].Tim and Cherry had 4 children. Tim is preceded in death by 2 sons Kenneth Lee Compton and Tony Ray Compton; parents John and Irene Compton; 3 brothers,George Compton,Charlie Compton and Clarence "Cat" Compton; 2 sisters Ruby Brewer and Laura Ella Costello. R.H. "Tim" Compton is survived by his wife of 61 years Cherry Compton of Oak Grove,La; son Chris Compton of Oak Grove,La; daughter Tammy Compton Walker and husband Jube of Graham,Texas; son Lance Compton of Oak Grove,La; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother J.E. Compton of Bastrop,La; brother and sister-in-law Junior & Dorothy Compton of Kermit,Texas; sister Nora Layton of Kilbourne,La; sister and brother-in-law Dollie and Earl Hammers of Longview,Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Tim was 79 years old he suffered from Alzheimers and his wife cared for him at home.
