Vera "Helen" Rieske Clark Pippin Gray Herin
1924 - 2010

Early Life: Helen was born August 29, 1924, in Provo, Utah, to Oswald and Vera Cleone Clark Rieske. She is the eldest of six children. She was raised in Provo and graduated from Provo High School. She was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 17 years old.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Helen enjoyed serving in the Church teaching the youth, leading the Relief Society organization, and sharing her love of music with others as a chorister. Following high school, Helen married Gaylord Clark and moved to San Diego, California, where she worked in an aircraft factory manufacturing planes for the war effort. They moved back to Utah and were blessed with two daughters. After Gaylord passed away, Helen married Homer Webb Pippin on March 20, 1945, in the Manti Utah LDS Temple; she was blessed with two more daughters and one son. Children include: Jeanette Snow, Nancy Carlson, Irene Lee (deceased), Jack Pippin, and Brenda Smith. She will be missed by her 31 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed teaching her children how to work and spent a lot of time with them in the house and the garden. Homer passed away September 11, 1972. She began selling real estate in Utah and continued after moving to Arizona and Nevada. Her talents included sewing, quilting, crocheting, cooking and reading. She also enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. Helen Rieske Clark Pippin Gray Herin, of Provo, Utah, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, in her home. She was 85.
