He married Dorothy Anna Ellison (b. 13 Mar 1880), daughter of Lilburn Ellison and Mary Jane Snavely, on 7 Dec 1899 in Lee Co., VA. George was a farmer. He and his wife lived all their lives in Lee County, the the exception of two years spent in Texas.
