Died: At the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.M. Stark on West Fifth street, Eugene, Sunday, July 16, 1911, at 8 a.m. Lewis Mr. Blankenship, aged 69 years of cancer. He left nine children as follows: Mrs. John Blankenship of Goldendale, Wash; James Blankenship of Shelton, Wash, Mrs. Etta Patton of Pendleton; Mrs. Mattie Steele of Suver; Zed Blankenship of Salem; L.G. Blankenship of Eugene, and Chas. Blankenship of California. The deceased had lived in Eugene four years and in Oregon 19 years. He was born in Fayette county, Ill. His wife died at Independence, OR 13 years ago. The remains of Mr. Blankenship will be taken to Independence tomorrow morning and interment will take place there at 2 pm.
