Cuba Deppe was born Nov. 8, 1899
in Sac County, the daughter of Emil and
Effie M. Ridler Deppe. She was educated
in Sac County schools. She and her parents
moved to Storm Lake in March of
1919. On May 7, 1919 her father and only
brother Clarke were killed in an auto accident.
Miss Deppe never married and was a
self-employed farm manager. She was a
member of the First United Methodist
Church, enjoyed sewing and gardening,
and was a member of the National Iris
Society.
She is survived by many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and her brother.
