Eliza E. (Nellie) Babbitt was John's 1st wife. They were married Oct. 19, 1886 in Burt county, NE. Nellie was the widow of William J. Hill. She brought their 3 year old daughter Willa Hill to the new marriage.

Married Alice Arvilla (Rice) Davidson, 21 Aug 1917, Grays Harbor County, Washington. Daughter of George Rice and Sarah Gage.

Married Luella T "Archer" Jewell, 23 Nov 1932, Lewis Co. Washington, daughter of Michael Archer and Mary "Polly" Fowler.
