Robert Glen Sandstrom, 72, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at his home. He was born Nov. 11, 1928, at Sioux Falls, S.D. His parents were Olaff Einar and Tillie (Nelson) Sandstrom. He attended Chadron High School. He worked as a cosmetologist, as a baker, and as a brakeman for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. He married Lorraine Roan in 1946. He was a lifetime member of the Chadron Elks. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine of the home; sons Terry Sandstrom of Morrill, Rob Sandstrom of Chadron and Zac Sandstrom of Kew Garden, N.Y.; daughter Lorna Bucsek of Middleton, Wis.; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by sister Biola Borton of Red Cloud, and brother Miles Sandstrom from California. Mr. Sandstrom's memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, at Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron, with Pastor Sharon Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery at Chadron.
