Monett--George Albert Sutton, 84, Monett, died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday in St. Vincent's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Chillicothe, Mo., he had moved to Monett six years ago from Kansas City. He was a retired farmer, a World War I veteran and a member of the Baptist Church of Urbana.

Survivors include his wife, Ruthie May Noland; two sons, Alfred E., Indianola, Iowa, and Melvin, Monett; five daughters, Mrs. Maudean Rivera, Springfield, Mrs. Ada Moore, Purdy, Mrs. Ida Brockert, Kansas City, Miss Alice Sutton and Mrs. Ruby Duncan, both of Raymond, Okla.; two brothers, Harmon, Buffalo, and Howard, state of California; 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bennett-Wormington will announce arrangements.
