Mrs. Lucille Lowry, 90, of 502 Lowry St., died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010.
Services: Graveside, 3 p.m. Saturday in Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery in Rowland. Visitation, 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Revels Funeral Home in Pembroke.
Survived by: A grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
***NOTE: In 1948, she received a degree from what is presently known as the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In July 2007, the Heritage Walk was dedicated to serve as a permanent monument to all of the university's graduates from 1905 to 1954. Lucille was honored by having her name engraved on a brick in the Heritage Walk walkway in front of Old Main, the oldest building on the campus.
***NOTE: Her death date has not been engraved on her headstone.
