Mitchel Clair Shaw

Riverdale – Our faithful and devoted husband, father, son & brother, Mitchel Clair Shaw, returned with honor to his Heavenly Father following a tragic construction accident on April 23, 2012. Mitchel was born June 14, 1965 in Ogden, Utah to Clair J. and Jaqueline F. Shaw.

He married his eternal companion, Heidi Lynn Carrigan on August 24, 1989 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, to this union, was blessed with three beautiful children, Justin, Jaymee and Savanna. Mitch was always patient and encouraged his children to become their best. He always mentored his children by teaching them about "doing and becoming".

He graduated from Weber State University in 1999 with a double degree in Communications and German. He was self-employed in the mineral business.

He was a member of the Riverdale 8th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He always honored his Priesthood and served with extra ordinary faith, enthusiasm and passion. He gave and served with all his heart. There was never a doubt about his concern, compassion and love for people. He encouraged everyone with his wise and positive counsel and always saw the best in those he served. He served in several Bishoprics, as a High Counselor and influenced hundreds of people as a Bishop and Stake President. He loved the Lord and knew the Lord and served with great faith and charity.

Mitch was so proud of his wife and family, they were his greatest passion. He loved. He loved to watch his children's sporting events and any other activity they were involved with.

He was a master mechanic and could repair anything, especially Saabs, snowmobiles and motorcycles. He had a great ability to see worth and value in everything, tractors, trucks, cars and especially people.

He is survived by his wife, Heidi; son Justin Michael Shaw; two daughters, Jaymee Lynn and Savanna Sharon Shaw; parents, Clair and Jaqueline Shaw of Liberty; two sisters, Julie (Greg) Duke of Huntsville and Becky Lincoln of Liberty and a brother, Kelly (Mareena) Shaw of Liberty.
