Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Monticello Pentecostal Church in Monticello, MS for Mr. L. C. Adams, age 85, of Silver Creek, MS who passed away April 29, 2012 in Louisiana. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. James Rushing and Rev. Glen Hilton officiated. Pall bearers were Jonny Adams, Timothy Westmoreland, Rickey Adams, Chris Adams, Joseph Nations and Joshua Nations.

Mr. L. C. Adams was born in Water Valley, MS on November 3, 1926. He was the son of Loyd and Ida Mae Adams. He was a mechanic for fifty eight years and retired from May Chevrolet. He also enjoyed farming. He was a faithful, charter member of Monticello Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Adams is survived by his beloved wife of sixty six years, Francis Adams of Silver Creek; his daughters, Patsy Alexander (William) of Greenwell Springs, LA, and Evelyn Westmoreland (Larry) of Gadsden, AL; his sons, Wayne Adams (Libby) of Baton Rouge, LA and Rickey Adams (Deloris) of Shuqualak, MS; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; his brothers, Billy Adams and Darell Adams and his sister, Agnes Shivers all of Batesville, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
