Noted in husband Justice Eli HOUSEL's obituary as Mrs. Sadie SMITH (FLETCHER) HOUSEL. She was the second wife of Mr. Housel. It may be assumed that Fletcher was the surname of her first husband and also the father of Mrs. Faye Woleslagle listed in Sarah's obit below.

Ebensburg -- Funeral services were held in the Joel T. PYOTT Funeral Home at Burnside today for Mrs. Sarah J. HOUSEL, 90-year-old Ebensburg resident and Burnside native who died Saturday, Oct. 29. The Rev. Luther FRAZIER officiated and internment was in the Burnside Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Justus, and one daughter.
A daughter, Mrs. Faye WOLESLAGLE of Altoona, survives as do the following two step-daughters and one stepson: Mrs. Lonnie GARBER, Mrs. May TAYLOR and Paul HOUSEL, all of Altoona. A sister, Mrs. Pearl MILLER of Glen Campbell survives as do two brothers, Alvin SMITH, Youngstown, Ohio, and
Walter SMITH, Apollo. There are 12 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

She was born at Burnside Apr 6, 1876, a daughter of the late William and Mary (WETZEL) SMITH.
