WAKE FOREST - Annie Godfrey Pleasants, 87, of 108 Royal Park Drive, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Wake Forest, died Saturday, October 7, 2000 at her residence. She was born in Lee County, the daughter of the late Ed and Cora Hurley Godfrey. Mrs. Pleasants was preceded in death by three daughters, Linda Faye Pleasants, Joyce Maxine Pleasants, and Bobbie Jean Cash.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, October 11, 2000 at Good Hope Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Gray and Rev. John Pouchet officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Pleasants is survived by her daughters, Ann Mayton of Wake Forest, Phyllis Pleasants and Brenda Dowd, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; sons, Buddy Pleasants, Coy Pleasants, and Douglas Pleasants, all of Wake Forest; brother, Jesse Lee Godfrey of Hollister.

Friends may visit with the family from 7-9 p.m. today at Bright Funeral Home.
