Robert Davis Bledsoe was the youngest son of Rev. Hiram Miller Bledsoe, Sr. and Susan T. Hughes Bledsoe. After all of his siblings left home, Robert remained here in Lexington to help his parents operate their extensive farm holdings.

ROBERT D. BLEDSOE DEAD

A Former Citizen of This County Succumbs to Paralysis

Word was received here yesterday that Robert D. Bledsoe died Thursday evening at his home in Kansas City, Kansas, of paralysis.

Mr. Bledsoe was a son of Rev. and Mrs. Hiram M. Bledsoe who moved to this county from Kentucky in 1832. Mr. Bledsoe served four years in the Confederate army; two years in his brother Hiram's famous battery, and two years in a battery commanded by his brother, Joseph. He was married in November 1868, to Miss Ollie Perrie of Lexington. Several years after her death he married his second wife who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Robert D., and Everett W., by his first wife.

The body will be brought to Lexington this morning for burial.
