They moved to Washington County Texas in 1837 where Isom or Isham and Ann were given a Headright Land Certificate of 640 Acres after being in Texas for one year.
They eventually sold off this land little by little, and settled in Lavaca County Texas, where the Tate Ranch is today 173 years later.
