Obituary:

Marjorie Chenoweth, 89, of Colona, flew up to heaven on the wings of Angels on March 16, 2009, surrounded by her family and loved ones who were blessed by her presence in their lives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, at Green Rock Southern Baptist Church, Colona. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Schroder Mortuary,Colona. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to
Help at Home.

Marjorie was born Aug. 9, 1919, in Rushville, Ill., the daughter of Carl and Mabel Hollenback Trone. Marjorie worked at Happy Haven Nursing Home for 25 years as a nurse's aide. After retiring, she began her own home-based business.
Chenoweth Home for the Elderly existed in Colona for over 25 years, providing a place of rest for the community's senior citizens. She married Emmer Chenoweth in 1950 and was happily married for 26 years until his death in 1976. Together they had a large family of 10 children.

Survivors include children, Helen Chenoweth, Colona, Patsy (Donald) Grafton, Colona, Larry (Donna) Skiles, Coal Valley, Richard (Diane) Skiles, Viola, Sandy (Darrell) Parks, Colona, Ronnie (Bev) Blagden, Chico, Calif., Steve (Pam) Chenoweth, Bishop Hill, Rondell (Denise) Chenoweth, Port Byron; sister, Betty Croiser, Canton, Ill.; and brother, Jimmy Trone, Canton; 43 grandchildren; 67
great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Emmer Chenoweth; son, Richard Chenoweth; daughter, Shirley Dwyer; brothers, Jody, Bud and Hank Trone.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Illini Hospital staff and Hospice program and Dr. Dadhaniya, and also staff and home aides at Help at
Home.
