He was a former Georgetown Town Board president and owner of Jay Davis Sign Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of New Albany, IN. He was a very talented woodworker, musician and artist.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Edward and Margie Lee Whitlock Davis.
He is survived by his son- Keith Russell Davis (Jaime) of New Albany, IN, daughter-Krista Leigh Higdon (Shaun) of Memphis, IN, Brothers- Jack Davis of New Albany, Indiana, Jerry Davis of Georgetown, IN, Sister- Connie Tomes of Georgetown, IN, Three Grandsons- Joshua and Carter Davis and Eli Higdon.
Funeral services will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dave Colbert will officiate. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Crandall. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Georgetown on Monday from 11 AM to 8 PM and after 9 AM Tuesday. Published in The Courier-Journal on April 29, 2012.
