Bolen, a homemaker, died Wednesday at her home at Webb of a heart attack.
She was born March 1, 1917, to James William and Elma Hess Jenkins at Nezperce. She graduated from Lapwai High School in 1936. She married Arthur Bolen July 18, 1938, at Lewiston.
From 1945 to 1964 they lived at Webb. In 1964 they moved to Everett, Wash., where they lived until 1977, when they returned to Webb.
She used to cook for the harvest crews at Pomeroy, Gifford, Webb, and Tammany.
Bolen enjoyed working outside in her garden and yard and making crafts and canning. She also enjoyed photography, especially taking pictures of people.
She was a member of the Lapwai Garden Club, the Lapwai Community Club and the Lapwai Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two sons, Warren Lee Bolen of Lewiston and Eldon Rae Bolen of Clarkston; one brother, Roy Jenkins of Pollock, Idaho; four sisters, Mable Byers and Ruby Roberts, both of Pomeroy, Vera Elliot of Ninilchik, Alaska, and Cleo Gillespie of Lewiston; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oct. 14, 1994, and by three brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Lapwai Assembly of God Church.

The funeral for Dorothy V. Bolen, 82, will be held at Malcom's Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel in Lewiston Saturday at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston. The Rev. John Vantrease of the Lapwai Assembly of God Church will officiate.
