Isaiah H. Parrish, born 27 Aug 1843 in Bulloch County, Georgia, died 08 Mar 1862 in Waynesville, Wayne County (now Brantley), Georgia. He was son of Absalom Parrish, born 1816, died 1865 and Rebecca Alderman, born 1819, died 1862. His parents were married in Bulloch County.

1. Sarah, born c1842 in Bulloch County, died 25 Nov 1931 in Bulloch County. She was shown in the 1880 census living in the household of her sister Jincy Nichols.

3. Ansel, born 05 Apr 1845, died 30 Dec 1927, married Florence M. Yates, born 21 Jan 1857, died 11 May 1958. Both buried in Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Brooks County. He was 3rd Sgt., Company I, 50th Regiment, Berrien County, CSA.
4. Lavinia, born 19 Mar 1847 in Bulloch County, died 24 Feb 1920 in Bulloch County, married John Holland, born 27 Dec 1845, died 17 Jun 1934. Both buried in Lower Lott Creek Primitive Church Cemetery.
5. Jincey, born 01 Jan 1849, died 19 Apr 1923, married George W. Nichols, CSA, born 22 Jan 1843, died 05 Oct 1916, both buried in Screven City Cemetery, Screven, Georgia. George was a private in Company D, 61 Georgia Infantry. His name is on the wall at the Confederate Soldiers Park in Waynesville.
6. Henry, born c1850, married Vienna (Viana) Moseley.
7. Aaron, born 13 Dec 1851 in Bulloch County, died 1940.

Isaiah Parrish enlisted in the Confederate State Army at Eden Station on 09 Sep 1861 for the duration of the war. He entered in Company B which later became Company D, 7th Georgia Battalion Infantry. He was described as being five feet, ten inches tall, light complexion, blue eyes, light hair, and was a farmer before he enlisted.

On 08 Mar 1862, at age 18, he died at the hospital in Waynesville, Georgia and is buried in the cemetery there. The cemetery is identified at the Confederate Soldiers Park Cemetery. Several other Confederates are buried there, but unidentified at this time.

The cause of his death was pneumonia according to Henderson's Roster of the Confederate Soldiers of Georgia, 1862-1865.
