Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Drews, 77, who died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H A Brueckner in Garner, Ia., were held at 2 p.m. October 25, 1949 at St. Matthew Lutheran church at Mapleton, Rev. Daryl Schmidt, pastor of the church officiated. Burial was in the Holstein cemetery under the direction of the Byers funeral home of Mapleton.

Mrs. Drews was born February 15, 1872, in Davenport, Ia. She was married to William Drews November 6, 1898, at Niobrara, Nebr. Mr. and Mrs. Drews lived in Holstein until Mr Drew's death.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. W. E. Meyer and Mrs. Ed Goettsch of Holstein and MRs. Brueckner; a son, A. W. Drews of Mapleton; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
