Eileen Virginia Bjerke Kindler, the daughter of Conrad and Mary (Carlson) Bjerke was born October 23, 1920 in Bowdoin, MT. She graduated from Powell High School in 1939. She died September 29, 2010 in Cody.

Shortly after graduation, Eileen was united in marriage with Donald W. Kindler in Billings, MT. She worked at the Cody Courthouse in the County Office as a deputy County Clerk, and then for the Treasurer's Office as a deputy County Treasurer. Donald died in 1968.

Eileen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cody. She enjoyed reading, art, and music. Eileen also liked to learn, and took many night classes to further her education. Her greatest love, however, was taking care of her children and grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared her life are a daughter, Judy (Bob) Capron of Cody; two sons, David (Donna) Kindler of Idaho Falls, ID, Douglas Kindler of Laramie, WY; five grandchildren, Kristen (Kevin) Phipps, Jeffry (Pam) Capron, Marti (Scott) Brockway, Mark (Diana) Kindler, Emily (Shawn) Bitter; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Rhoda Gilliland of Cody, Betty Anne Butler of San Diego, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lee, Grant, and William; a sister, Avis; and an infant great-grandson.

The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Park County Library.
