He remained a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church until two years ago when he joined the Free Methodist church. He remained a faithful and consistent Christian until the day of his death. The last nine months of his life on earth he was a great sufferer, but he bore it patiently. During his last sickness he loved to have the people of God pray and sing with him. The funeral services were held from the Free Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. D. C. Eddy of Clarinda, and the remains were laid to rest in Grove Cemetery.—Current Press. CLARINDA HERALD, Clarinda, Iowa, Mar 14, 1912 (Obituary courtesy of Pat 47147856; thanks so much!)
