Anna Loyd Fuselier Davis, 74, a resident of Pine Prairie and a former
resident of Morgan City, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Savoy Medical Center in
Mamou.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic and Holy Cross Catholic churches in
Morgan City. She was a former member of the Holy Cross Altar Society.
She was the daughter of the late Jean Fuselier and the late Ana Ortego
Fuselier.
She is survived by one daughter, Cathy Seguin and her husband, Ron, of Beijing;
two daughters-in-law, Peggy Glynn Davis and Virginia Williams Davis, both of
Baton Rouge; one son, Michael L. Davis and his wife, Leslie, of Lafayette; three
sisters, Rose Elma Fontenot and her husband, Alfred, of Oakdale, Verla Mae
Campbell and her husband, Jim, and Dorothy Fontenot and her husband, L.D., all
of Pine Prairie; one sister-in-law, Mildred Davis of Morgan City; two brothers,
Clive Fuselier and his wife, Obera, of Beaver, and O.L. Fuselier of Pine
Prairie; and six grandchildren, Margaret Davis,
Veronica Seguin, Mary Davis, Caroline Davis, Michael Davis Jr. and Elisabeth
Davis.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years, Harry F.
Davis Sr.; her parents; a son, Dr. Harry F. Davis Jr.; five brothers, J.B.
Fuselier, A.C. Fuselier, Bert Fuselier, Ira Fuselier and Howard Fuselier; one
sister, Lela Belle Clark; and a brother-in-law, T.E. "Bay" Davis.
Arrangements are being handled by Twin City Funeral Home, 412 Fourth St.,
Morgan City, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today.
A rosary will be conducted at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City at
10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, with Father Benny officiating. Interment will be
at the Morgan City Cemetery.
