The Martin Michael buried here is from Ireland. His body was moved from one cemetery to another. ("roc" which stands for removed from old cemetery.)
"d. July 31, 1868 -in. Apr. 30, 1874 -bp. Ireland -lr. FW -a. 23y -sec. B -ln. 297 -re. o.c."
Both Natalie (#47463070) and Peggy (#47593651) have helped to sort out this young man out.
Our Michael was born in Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany. Our Michael's parents were Franz "Frank" Martin, III #110294605
1809-1921; K Hoock Martin #133231662, 1810-1880.
I still can not help but think this is our family because of the Hoocks, Englerts and Martins all Catholic..buried in this same cemetery. Is it a coincidence that he was buried next to his mother? Katharina is the oldest known to America.
