MARTIN LOSES ANOTHER CITIZEN
In the death of Mr. P. W. Hendrix Martin loses another of her most noble citizens. Mr. Hendrix died Sunday night at his home in Martin, following a long illness of general debility. He had been in declining health for some months. Mr. Hendrix was never a robust man, but one possessing a wonderful amount of energy. He came to Martin some twenty-odd years ago, embarking in the photograph business. Later he engaged in farming. He was a devout member of the Methodist Church and a true christian gentleman.
Mr. Hendrix was about 65 years of age. He is survived his wife and six children. Funeral services were held Tuesday by his pastor. Rev. J. W. Irion, assisted by his long-time friend, Rev. A. E. Scott. Interment at East View cemetery.
