Mr. Charlie Neil Vaden, 70, of Holmes Gap Road in Alexandria, died Monday, January 25, 1993, at Nashville Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Revs. Thurman and Linda Tidrow were assisted by Rev. Don Elmore. Burial was in the Hearn Hill Cemetery.
Born in Smith County the son of the late John Herman Vaden and Georgia Mai Russell Vaden, he had lived most of his life in Smith County. He was a veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Ford Vaden; two daughters, Laura Mae Vaden of Alexandria and Penny Sue (Harold) Baines of Alexandria; one son, John Carrol (Betty Jo) Vaden of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Lisa (John) Hale, Kristy Baines, Michael Baines, Elizabeth Vaden; one great-grandson, Ethan Hale; one sister, Dessie Durham of Lebanon; one brother, David Curg Vaden of Gordonsville; number of nieces and nephews.
