Note: This makes the year on his death certificate wrong. His death certificate states he was born in 1864.

Note: After the divorce of Laura Cooper, Peter started using the surname Gardner. Some of his children, from his second marriage to Anna Belle Burns, used Gardner and some used Girardin.
