Peggy McElwain, 83, died November 11, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Church of Christ in Glencoe with Pastor Curt Anderson officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born August 8, 1928 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to Joseph Leonard Geller and Jennie Fern Geller. She attended Covington Oklahoma High School and East Central Univ where she received both a bachelors and a master's degree in education. Her first marriage was to Donald Gene Fairless, which ended in divorce. She married Arno Durwin McElwain on February 21, 1978 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, and her husband.
She is survived by three sons, 1 daughter, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
